ISIL claims 32 US-backed fighters killed in west Raqqa
The Islamic State (ISIL) killed 32 fighters from the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces in the western districts of Raqqa City, the terrorist group's media wing claimed on Thursday.
According to the terrorist group's statement that was released via Al-'Amaq News Agency, their forces killed 32 SDF fighters after slipping past the latter's front-lines in western Raqqa yesterday.
ISIL also claimed this attack was conducted by 11 members of their "special forces" in the Jzarah District during the dusk hours on Thursday.
Most of the SDF casualties allegedly came after two members of the Islamic State's special forces detonated their explosive belts.
The SDF's official social media accounts have not corroborated these claims by the Islamic State.
