Syrian Army prepared to unleash hell on Wadi Barada if jihadist rebels refuse terms
A source from the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) told Al-Masdar News on Saturday night that if the jihadist rebels refuse the terms offered by the government, their forces will "unleash hell" on the militants inside Wadi Barada.
The Syrian Arab Army's High Command and a government delegation met with the jihadist rebel leaders in the Wadi Barada area on Saturday morning in order to discuss terms of surrender and the restoration of water to the estimated 5 million civilians in Damascus.
The talks between the government and jihadist rebels concluded on Saturday with no solution to the water crisis and no end to the military operations taking place in Wadi Barada.
With other rebel controlled areas of Damascus surrendering to the Syrian Arab Army, the militants in Wadi Barada are under heavy pressure to do the same.
If the militants do not surrender Wadi Barada, the Syrian Arab Army will likely take the same military approach to this area as they did in their previous offensives at Darayya and Khan Al-Sheih.
