US jets hammer ISIS in Raqqa as Kurdish fighters advance from several axes
The U.S. Air Force carried out a large number of airstrikes in the Al-Raqqa Governorate on Thursday, targeting the so-called "Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham" (ISIS) around the provincial capital and northern countryside.
US jets reportedly carried out more than 10 airstrikes this morning, hitting a number of Islamic State targets near their front-lines with the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
The Syrian Democratic Forces are currently advancing at a number of axes in the Al-Raqqa countryside, capturing several sites that were previously under the control of the Islamic State terrorists.
Meanwhile, in east Aleppo, the Turkish Army has reportedly begun shelling the western countryside of Al-Bab City in preparation for their upcoming offensive against the Islamic State.
