Syrian Army liberates new east Hama village after surprise attack against ISIS

The Syrian Arab Army's 11th Tank Division, alongside the National Defense Forces (NDF) of Al-Salamiyeh, carried out a surprise attack against the so-called "Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham" (ISIS) on Wednesday night, killing several terrorists en route to the liberation of Khirbat Al-Junaynah in eastern Hama.

Last night's assault began when an NDF contingent stormed the Islamic State's positions along the Sa'an-Ithriya Road, resulting in heavy clashes between the two forces.

While engaged in a fierce battle with ISIS, the NDF received a big boost when the 11th Tank Division arrived to help drive back the terrorist forces and liberate the small village of Khirbat Al-Junaynah.

The purpose of last night's attack by the NDF and SAA was to clear up the Sa'an-Ithriya Road, which was constantly under threat by Islamic State terrorist's from its southern flank.
