Syrian Army seizes large parts of east Aleppo after militant collapse
The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) continued their large-scale offensive inside east Aleppo on Wednesday, targeting several neighborhoods under the control of the jihadist rebels.
Led by the Desert Hawks Brigade and Tiger Forces, the Syrian Arab Army stormed the Sheikh Lufti, Marjah, and Bab Al-Nayrab districts on Wednesday morning, resulting in a fierce battle with the jihadist rebels of Jaysh Al-Fateh and Fatah Halab that is still ongoing.
According to a military source in east Aleppo, the Syrian Armed Forces imposed full control over the Sheikh Lufti and Bab Al-Nayrab districts after overrunning the jihadist defenses on Wednesday afternoon.
Following the capture of the aforementioned districts, the Syrian Armed Forces made a big push inside Marjah, capturing the entire district amid the collapsing defenses of Jaysh Al-Fateh.
The Syrian Armed Forces now have their sights set on the Sheikh Sa'eed District, which is situated at the southern corridor of the east Aleppo pocket; if captured, it will lead to the complete collapse of the jihadist front-lines.
