Seven hours of talks: will Lavrov and Kerry break their Moscow record

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry have been having talks for seven hours in a row. Journalists are betting if they break the record of literally half a day of talks they had in Moscow.

Today, the delegations have had several breaks. No news conference is expected soon. Security measures at President Wilson Hotel, the venue of the talks, and around it are not that strict as they were during their previous Geneva round on August 26. Nevertheless, the hotel's entryway is guarded by additional police forces.

Armored vehicles are on duty in the vicinity of the hotel. Security officers, many with guns, are seen in the lobby. The hotel's administration is demonstrating little hospitality trying to shoo journalists highlighting the talks. The only trick they can play to stay inside is to order something from the hotel's restaurant, which can boast cheap dishes, with a cup of coffee costing 12 francs.

The two top diplomats several times greeted reporters and asked them how they are.
