Syrian Army, Hezbollah capture Tal Sanourbat in southern Aleppo
The Syrian Armed Forces, alongside Hezbollah, seized Tal Sanourbat in the southern part of Aleppo city on Tuesday after a violent battle with the jihadist rebels of Jaysh Al-Fateh (Army of Conquest) near the Artillery Academy.
According to local reports, the Syrian Armed Forces and Hezbollah stormed Tal Sanourbat after failing to advance at the Aleppo Technical College; this prompted them to concentrate their efforts at this large hilltop.
Two hours after launching their assault on Tal Sanourbat, the Syrian Armed Forces, led by the Republican Guard, managed to establish full control over every flank after expelling the jihadist rebels from this southern Aleppo site.
While the capture of Tal Sanourbat is good news for the Syrian Armed Forces; this may be a fleeting victory for them because control of this hilltop constantly changes hands every week.
