France critical of Turkey's intervention in Syria
France's President Francois Hollande has highlighted Turkey's "contradictory" actions in Syria whilst also warning Russia not to become a "protagonist" in the war.
Hollande said "multiple, contradictory interventions carry the risk of a general inflammation."
Although he sympathized of ISIS' threat to Turkey at its borders, he criticized Turkey's actions against the Kurdish YPG forces who fight ISIS with French and other coalition air support.
He then went onto say that Russia should be "a player in negotiations, not a protagonist in the action" and that Moscow should cooperate with the US-led coalition.
