Russian military deliver humanitarian aid to Syria's Latakia
Russia's military have delivered around 2.5 tons of humanitarian aid to a school and kindergarten in Syria's Latakia where the children of refugees study, a representative of the Russian center for reconciliation of the warring sides said on Saturday.
The children and teachers received packages with canned meat and fish, sugar, flour, powdered milk and grain. The students were given sweet presents - waffles, cookies and candies, Lt. Col. Vitaly Verbitsky said.
The Russian military doctors provided assistance to all those in need.
More than 1,000 ton of humanitarian aid was also delivered by the Russian military to a center for refugees in the province, another representative of the center, Col. Pavel Barinov said. Al Djenderiya became the 76th settlement in Syria to receive Russia's humanitarian assistance.
