Syrian Army captures 3 points near strategic city of Quraytayn
The Syrian Arab Army's 120th Brigade of the 2nd Division is rolling through the Homs Governorate's southeastern countryside after launching a new campaign to liberate the strategic city of Quraytayn from the Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS) terrorists that have occupied the areas since August of 2015.
On Monday afternoon, the Syrian Arab Army's 120th Brigade - backed by Liwaa Suqour Al-Sahra (Desert Hawks Brigade), Dara' Qalamoun (Qalamoun Shield), and the Syrian Social Nationalist Party (SSNP) - liberated Point 946, Point 949, and Point 1201 in western Quraytayn after a violent battle with ISIS that began during the wee hours of the morning.
With the capture of these aforementioned points, the Syrian Armed Forces are nearing Quraytayn's well-defended gates, where several hundred ISIS fighters are awaiting the government's imminent assault.
Meanwhile, south of Quraytayn, Liwaa Suqour Al-Sahra is steadily advancing inside Jabal Al-Mahsaa, capturing more hilltops from the ISIS terrorists at this desert mountain chain.
The Russian Air Force can be seen flying all over Homs' vast desert countryside, striking ISIS' defensive positions along the road from Quraytayn to Palmyra and Sakhanah to Tabaqa.
