Russian Air Force pulverizes ISIL's oil transport routes near the Palmyra Triangle

The Russian Air Force is taking no prisoners in the eastern Homs countryside and they are certainly not willing to allow ISIL (Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant) to use the roads that lead north towards the Al-Raqqa Governorate.

For two straight days now, the Russian Air Force has relentlessly targeted ISIL's primary oil transport routes in the deserts of northeastern Homs, striking the aforementioned terrorist group's positions at the villages of Al-Zara'yah, Wadi Al-Dhakara, Al-Sakhanah, and 'Arak.

According to a senior from the Syrian Air Defense, the Russian Air Force's assault on the oil transport routes has sidelined ISIS in eastern Homs; they have been forced to refrain from travel.

While the Russian Air Force continues to pound ISIS from the air, the Syrian Arab Army's 67th Brigade of the 18th Tank Division - backed by Liwaa Suqour Al-Sahra (Desert Hawks Brigade) - are advancing near the Ancient Palmyra Quarries after seizing the strategic hilltop of Tal Halawah on Friday.

Currently, the Syrian Armed Forces are attempting to seize the western quarries from the remaining ISIS terrorists that are positioned in Palmyra's northern countryside - the battle is still ongoing.

Meanwhile, north of Palmyra, the Syrian Armed Forces came under attack by a rogue ISIS contingent in Jabal Al-Sha'ar; however, the battle did not last long, as the government forces repelled the attack and forced the terrorist group to scatter in the vast desert of Homs.
