Lavrov, Kerry discuss only Syria at their meeting - Russia's ForMin
A meeting of Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry was focused only implementation of the accords on Syria reached on Thursday, spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova said on Saturday.
"The U.S. secretary of state had come forward with a proposal to hold a meeting which focused only on the Syria crisis settlement in the context of the statement adopted by the International Syria Support Group in Munich," Zakharova said.
Lavrov and Kerry discussed concrete steps to put into practice the agreements on coordination of military efforts in Syria/
"Interaction between the military bodies have been accentuated in order to implement the agreements reached within the framework of the International Syria Support Group (ISSG)..," Zakharova said. "We have discussed concrete steps which will be undertaken in the coming days to put this into practice.".
