Russian official calls Amnesty International report on Russia's actions in Syria false
Amnesty International's report on the Russian air group's operations in Syria is false and partial, the Russian Foreign Ministry's commissioner for human rights, democracy and rule of law, Konstantin Dolgov, told TASS in an interview.
"The report is false all through, and it is clearly partial," Dolgov said. "Obviously, it was aimed at causing a stir in the media space with loud groundless conclusions and anti-Russian rhetoric, which is in such great demand in some Western capitals." "The report's wording is brimming with speculations lacking any evidence. And Amnesty International's photographic evidence looks absurd," he said. "We believe it is unworthy of such a non-governmental organization of authority as Amnesty International to falsify cheap media hoaxes," Dolgov said. "It would be a great deal better if the organization focused its efforts on the large-scale use of cluster weapons by Ukrainian military in Dobnass, the atrocities of the Islamic State (terrorist organization outlawed in Russia) in the subordinate territories and other such crude violations of human rights."
