List of Syrian settlement provisions is main result of Moscow meeting -- opposition source
Making a list of the Syrian settlement provisions has become the main result of Moscow consultations between the Syrian opposition and government, leader of the Syrian opposition Popular Front for Change and Liberation Qadri Jamil told a news conference on Friday.
"We've all supported the compiled list, this is the main result of the discussions," he said.
"However, it must be kept in mind that the opposition is not homogeneous and it would be wrong to expect it to fully agree on everything," Jamil said. "We act in accordance with the spirit of the constitution that stipulated that Syria has a multi-party system."
"The meeting was informal, it had neither an agenda nor the approved list of speakers," said the politician. "Generally speaking, it was the first such meeting since the beginning of the Syrian conflict," he said.
The date of the next consultations in Moscow between the Syrian opposition and government representatives has already been set for early March, Jamil added.
"As I've already said, it will be held roughly in a month," he said. "This will be early March," Jamil said.
