No use of humanitarian convoys to deliver arms to Syria - Lavrov
Russia's Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has warned against use of humanitarian convoys to deliver arms to Syria.
"Illegal routes for such supplies are ready now," he said. "The intention to include in the UN Security Council's resolution the right for humanitarian convoys to enter the country without notifying the authorities will not go."
"The US has been increasingly pushing Damascus," he said. "The main problems arouse not from the regime, but from those terrorist groups, which have developed greatly in Syria. Trans-border operations, some insist to be included into the UN SC's resolution, contain risks of illegal arms supplies to the terrorist groups."
"The UN Security Council is not involved in precedents of the kind," Lavrov said.
