Blast kills 4 in Beirut southern suburb

Four people were killed, including two women, in a car bomb explosion that hit Beirut's southern suburb of Haret Hreik on Tuesday, the Lebanese National News Agency reported.

As many as 27 people were injured during the explosion and they were taken to hospital, the report said.

Earlier in January, a suicide bombing struck the same neighborhood, which is considered the stronghold of the Shiite Hezbollah, leaving five people killed and dozens injured.
