16 killed in blast in Syrian central province
Sixteen people were killed and tens of others wounded when an explosion rocked Syria's central province of Hama on Thursday, the state-run SANA news agency reported.
The blast targeted the town of Kafat in Hama, said SANA, adding that women and children were among those killed.
According to SANA, the blast rocked near a school in the town and the wounded people have been transferred to the city's hospitals.
The blast has also caused huge property losses, SANA added.
