56 generals and admirals dismissed in Turkey
Supreme Military Council of Turkey dismissed 56 generals and admirals.
APA reports that the reason of dismissal was the absence of posts complying with the ranks of above mentioned generals and admirals in Turkish army and the attaining of maximum age for service in the army.
According to Supreme Military Council's decision, 29 generals and admirals were promoted, 47 colonels received the rank of general and admiral, the military term of 33 generals and admirals was prolonged for one year term.
According to another decision, Galib Mendi received the rank of general and he was appointed to the post of the second army commander.
