Israel attacks two ports in Syria harboring 15 Syrian military ships
The Israeli Navy attacked 15 Syrian military ships in two Syrian ports during the night, the IDF said.
"The Israeli Navy missile corvettes carried out strikes in el-Beida and Latakia ports, which harbored 15 Syrian military ships, simultaneously," the press office said.
In addition, in the past 48 hours, "the Israeli Northern Command Fire Control Center carried out strikes at 130 targets in Syria, including arms depots, military installations and missile launchers," the statement says.
The press office noted that "dozens of ship-to-ship missiles with a range between 80 and 190 km, which posed a threat to civilian and military ships in this region, were destroyed" during the strikes.
"Numerous strategic weapons were eliminated, including SCUD missiles, cruise missiles, surface-to-ship, surface-to-air and surface-to-surface missiles, as well as drones, jet planes, strike helicopters, radars, tanks, hangars and much more," the IDF continued.
The Israeli planes "flew hundreds of hours over the Syrian airspace, carrying out over 350 airstrikes," the military said, adding that "a wide array of targets were hit, including missile air defense systems, Syrian Air Force airstrips and dozens of weapon production facilities in Damascus, Homs, Tartus, Latakia and Palmyra.".
