Hamas condemns U.S. for blacklisting its members as int'l terrorists
The Islamist movement of Hamas condemned the United State for blacklisting of its members as international terrorists, a Hamas official said on Tuesday.
Hamas spokesperson Sami Abu Zuhri described the U.S. decision as "immoral," saying that it contradicts with the international law and "encourages the Israeli terror."
In a statement sent to Xinhua, Abu Zuhri underscored the U.S. "trivial" decision. "This decision won't deter us from doing our national duties to protect our people and liberate Palestine."
The U.S. State Department announced on Tuesday Hamas political bureau member Rawhi Mushtaha, militant leader Yehia Sinwar and Hamas's Al-Qassam military wing commander Mohammad Deif as "specially designated global terrorists" under the U.S. law.
