Over 2,500 servicemen take part in anti-terrorist drills in Russia's Far East
Over 2,500 servicemen took part in the large-scale anti-terrorist exercise in Russia's Far East, the press service of the Eastern Military District said on Thursday.
"Comprehensive checks of anti-terrorist units were held in formations and units of the Eastern Military District stationed in Buryatia; Zabaikalsy, Khabarovsky, Primorsky regions; as well as Amur, Sakhalin regions and Jewish Autonomous Region ahead of New Year celebrations. Over 2,500 servicement participated in the drills, and around 300 units of equipment were used," the press service said.
During the drills, servicemen practiced promptly reacting to received signals and delivering equipment to the established areas.
Groups of 'attackers' used modern technical means of remore surveillance, such as quadrocopters.
