Siluanov: Russia is not transferring yet second tranche to Ukraine
As yet, Russia is not transferring the second tranche to Ukraine.
"We are waiting for the Ukrainian side to follow its obligations," Russia's Finance Minister Anton Siluanov told reporters on Saturday.
He continued saying there was no strict schedule for transfer of money, though the earlier agreement was Russia would transfer to Ukraine all the money before May.
The Russian side "would like to have understanding who to contact in Ukraine," the finance minister said. Besides, Russia expects Ukraine to settle the overdue payments for gas, he added.
The overdue money for supplied gas "which is not little" was to be settled by January 25, but the "payment has not been done yet."
"Russia will follow its all obligations, but we would like the Ukrainian side to observe its obligations in time," the minister said.
The transfer of money to Ukraine is not related to Naftogaz' overdue payments, but since it is a state-run company, it should fulfill the country's obligations, Siluanov said.
"As far as I know, /payments for gas/ this year are made according to the schedule," he said.
