Armenian president says unilateral concessions in Nagorno-Karabakh settlement ruled out
Unilateral concessions in the Nagorno-Karabakh settlement are excluded, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan said on Monday.
"There will be no unilateral concessions on the path of the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh problem, it is ruled out," he said. "Nagorno-Karabakh will never be part of Azerbaijan, it is excluded."
"I have always been ready to sacrifice not only my office but also my life to reach a settlement format that would be acceptable for my people," the Armenian president said at a meeting with public activists and the clergy.
The meeting was focused on the situation following the recent seizure of a police precinct in Yerevan by armed men.
Supporters of the armed group accuse the Armenian leaders of readiness for concessions to Azerbaijan.
