1/3 of Gaddafi’s army destroyed
A representative of the command of the Western coalition’s forces in Libya Brigadier General Mark van Uhm says that the coalition has destroyed about one third of the forces loyal to Gaddafi.
He says that in the last 24 hours, NATO’s aviation has delivered 14 strikes at surface targets. As a result, several radars, ammunition depots, armed vehicles and a missile launching facility were destroyed.
The general also said that since the command in the Libyan operation was overtaken by NATO last week, the coalition’s air forces have made 851 operation flights. 18 NATO’s ships are now controlling the Libyan coast.
