NATO destroys 17 Libya government tanks

NATO forces have destroyed 17 government tanks as they continue their attacks on Muammar Gaddafi's forces.

15 tanks were destroyed near the western city of Misrata, and two south of Brega in the east of the country. Targets also included ammunition stockpiles east of the capital, Tripoli.

NATO had faced accusations from the opposition, saying that it has not been doing enough to tip the balance of power in their favor. In the meantime, rebel leaders said on Saturday they have now been encouraged by NATO air strikes.
