US to use 2 drones against Gaddafi
The United States will use two drones in the Libya military operation.
According to Reuters, Defence Secretary Robert Gates says that the drones have been authorized by President Barack Obama.
The Pentagon feels that the drones, armed with missiles, will prove effective in fighting Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi’s regime, since they are capable of delivering pinpoint strikes.
The United States has used drones in fighting Taliban and Al-Qaeda terrorists in Pakistan and Afghanistan.
