11 Daesh Insurgents Killed in Nangarhar's Khoghyani District

Afghan security forces also destroyed a heroin factory during the operation on Saturday, officials confirmed.

At least 11 Daesh insurgents were killed in an Afghan security forces operation in eastern Nangarhar province, Public Order Police said in a statement on Sunday.

In addition, four other insurgents were wounded.

The operation was launched early Saturday in Khogyani district of the province to clear the area of insurgents. A "heroin factory was also destroyed," the statement said.

However, the statement did not provide further details.
