Supreme Court refuses to hear Demjanjuk appeal
The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday declined to hear John Demjanjuk's arguments for why he should be allowed to stay in the United States.
Demjanjuk, 88, has been fighting a deportation order since 2005. Before then, he fought allegations for almost three decades that he served as a guard in a Nazi death camp.
Demjanjuk has denied that he aided the Nazis.
Earlier this year, the 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Cincinnati rejected Demjanjuk's deportation challenge. On Monday, Demjanjuk's name was on a list of petitioners to the Supreme Court unsuccessful in getting the justices to hear their cases.
