Russia pushes for greater energy security within BRICS assembly
Russia suggests establishing an energy association within the BRICS developing of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, which will include a reserve bank of fuels and an institution for energy policy, says Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov.
"Russia will propose a number of specific issues for consideration, including establishing a BRICS energy association aimed to ensure energy security of its member states and to conduct integrated research and analysis of global hydrocarbon markets. It is suggested that a reserve bank of fuels and an energy policy institute of the BRICS will be created within this association," Ushakov told journalists on Thursday.
Besides, Russia proposes creating a network university, uniting leading universities of the five countries and specializing mainly on economy and technology.
