Prosecutors' Silence March rallying 'lot of support' among judges
Judge Jorge Gorini, who presides over the tribunal in charge of the AMIA case irregularities trial, has said not only prosecutors should be expected to take part in the February 18 so called "Silence March" marking one month since the death of Alberto Nisman.
According to magistrate Gorini, the rally that was called by prosecutors on Friday, could bring together judges as well, pointing the event has "a lot of support from courthouses" with a "generalized commitment not only of prosecutors but also of the magistracy."
In statements to a radio show today, Gorini revealed he would be "personally" attending the demonstration and denied the event will be to demand justice for AMIA special prosecutor Alberto Nisman who was found dead in his apartment on January 18.
"It is a call for an anti-party march, it is a recognition to the figure of Nisman and to attract the attention over the role of the Prosecutor General's Office," the judge commented alluding to a sector of the Judicial branch that questions the office run by Attorney General Alejandra Gils Carbó who they accuse of interfering in the investigation into Alberto Nisman's death.
