Turkey: Update, The HRA's Branch closed down in Diyarbakir!

        Member of the HRA in Diyarbakir

        Executive of the HRA's Diyarbakir Branch
Nebahat Akkoc(f),
        Member of  Central Executive Board of the HRA
Haydar Kìlìcoglu,
        Branch Chair of the Teachers' Union (Egitim-Sen)
Yusuf Akgun
        Branch Secretary of the Egitim-Sen
Ahmet M. Altìndag
        Accountant of the Egitim-Sen
and three relatives of the disappeared people
were all released on 23 May 1997.

But , Human Rights Association's Diyarbakir Branch was closed down by   
order of  the Governor on 23 May. All documents and reports of the  
Association was seized.

Please send your appeals to the listed authourities below to protest the  
oppressions and closure of the HRA Branch in Diyarbakir  where there is  
grave need to a human rights organisation.
