Arla Foods follows Valio, suspends production for export to Russia

Swedish-Danish dairy cooperative Arla Foods has suspended production for export to Russia, said the company's press release.

The ban on EU food imports introduced in Russia will not influence the company's operations, Arla press release goes without specifying possible losses from this freeze.

Finish dairy producer Valio announced the same measure on Thursday.

Arla Foods produces Arla cheeses, Apetina soft cheeses, Arla Natura and Castello cheeses, Lurpak butter.
